The teamsters' union in Pennsylvania has endorsed a candidate for governor. At their Delaware Avenue headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Conference of Teamsters president Bill Hamilton says the union has endorsed Democratic candidate Dan Onorato: "We've got representatives from every teamster local in the state here almost, and we represent 95,000 teamsters across Pennsylvania. We've been talking to Dan Onorato for over a year and a half, and in our discussions with Dan, Dan has come across as one of the most honest, sincere candidates we've found out there." Onorato says he expects the primary and general elections to be no easy feat: "It's about jobs. This race is going to be very clear what this is about -- who has the best ideas about jobs, how are we going to stay competitive, and how are we going to get the economy moving again." There will be no incumbent running on the Democratic ticket, as state law prohibits Ed Rendell from seeking another term.
